As a father with three girls, this was pretty interesting to me. If they want to pursue being an actor or something like that, it's fine, but only after they've been exposed to other opportunities. The take away here, in my opinion, is make sure your kids know all the cool things engineers do and what they really are. I know that when I was in high school, I only had vague notions of the ridiculously wide field of engineering.
